Hudson Sponsors DAFT Student Film Fundraiser

DAFT Detroit, which stands for Digital Arts, Film & Television, held a movie trivia fundraiser recently at the Motion Picture Institute (MPI) in Troy, Michigan.  Hudson Collective and Hudson Media Productions were proud to be a main sponsor of the event.

We also had a team compete in the trivia contest. The event did really well, raising a significant amount of money. The Hudson trivia team didn’t do nearly as well, but a good time was had by all!

DAFT runs the annual Michigan Student Film Festival, awarding student work from Michigan’s K-12 schools. This year is the 56th annual festival.  Viewing of the student film honorees will be at the Detroit Film Theater at the DIA June 1, 2024.

Three Hudson team members, Kevin Walsh, Patrice Walsh and Kathy Vander also serve on the DAFT board. A fourth team member, Mike McClure, served as one of the film festival judges.

“Video is so important to the way brands go to market these days,” said Hudson president, Nicole Hudson. “Encouraging and uplifting the film makers of tomorrow is something we believe in and are happy to be able to support.”
