About Russ Tate
Russ Tate brings over thirty years of experience and agency leadership to Hudson Collective. As part of Hudson Collective, he provides strategic guidance on campaign development, and creative direction on content development and execution. During his career, he has been involved in many aspects of the advertising, marketing, and brand-building business. His experience includes agency management, brand strategy and creative development for B2B and B2C accounts, copywriting, graphic design, and broadcast production.

After graduating from the Center for Creative Studies College of Art & Design, Russ started in the business at W.B. Doner where he worked on brands including Vlasic and Chiquita, as well as regional retailers. He then spent time in Hong Kong at Ogilvy & Mather Results working on American Express and other agency accounts. Returning to the states, he joined Goldfarb Hoff & Co. working on their AT&T Consumer Products, Whirlpool, and Monroe Auto Equipment accounts during his nine years at the agency.
Russ has also co-founded two successful advertising and marketing agencies – Flashpoint! Creative, LTD. and Atomic Ideas, LLC. Both agencies helped a diverse list of clients grow their business, including Lucent Technologies, Carl’s Golfland, The Detroit Newspaper Partnership, Belle Tire, Murray’s Auto Parts, American Blinds & Wallpaper, ACO Hardware, bd’s Mongolian Grill, Genisys Credit Union and many others.
In his spare time, Russ enjoys pursuing his passions for photography, music, reading science fiction and exploring new restaurants with his family.
